Clarity, and the drafting
consultant on all federal court rules.
He recently led the work in redrafting the Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure.
Bryan A. Garner
is author of A Dictionary of
Modern Legal Usage and
The Elements of Legal Style, and is editor-in-chief of
Black’s Law Dictionary.
He has taught at the University of Texas School of Law and
Southern Methodist University School of Law.
He is president of LawProse, Inc., a Dallas-based company
that provides writing and drafting seminars to lawyers and judges
across the United States and abroad.
